Lola Pfeifer (b. 1999) is a Vienna-based artist working across sculpture, installation, text, and curatorial practice. She holds an MA in TransArts from the University of Applied Arts Vienna as well as a BA in Art History from the University of Vienna (expected June 2026).
Pfeifer's practice moves between material and language, exploring how feeling resists articulation - how emotion becomes form, and how form deflects or absorbs meaning. Her sculptural works and installations are often marked by a dry tenderness, sitting somewhere between the mundane and the charged. Titles function as positions rather than descriptions; language becomes its own sculptural material.
Alongside her object-based work, Pfeifer writes exhibition texts and curates, extending her inquiry into how ideas are framed, presented, and received. Her art-historical research engages questions of representation, authority, and pictorial convention.
Her work has been shown across Europe and beyond, including at Immanence (Paris), Künstlerhaus Sootbörn (Hamburg), OpenArtLink (Athens), and numerous Vienna-based venues. She has participated in residencies and prize programmes, including a residency at f23 (2024–2025).
